For Christmas this year, I'm going to write one of the descriptive names God gave us to help understand Him and His relationship to us better. Today's name is Elohim, the first name of God used in the Bible. Elohim is used by God to define Him as "Creator" and "Judge" of the universe. He is responsible for all that has been created and all of creation will answer to Him. Solely masculine, Elohim means "Strong One" and occurs 2,570 times in the Old Testament.
