El Hannora, The Awesome God

Today's name of the Lord is El Hannora, The Awesome God. God's name as El Hannora is used in Nehemiah 9:32.   El Hannora describes the Mighty, Great, an Awesome God who keeps His covenant and hesed (grace/mercy) with men.  How awesome of God to desire to create and keep a covenant of love with His children.  Only He has the strength to fulfill all the promises given to us.  Promises of redemption, salvation, restoration, and mercy to forgive our sins.  This incredible covenant of grace is based not on what we do or don't do.  Instead  it is based on God's unending grace in Christ Jesus.
